 Welcome to HELP! Minimize

Welcome to the Hethertons Employment Law Package (HELP!). Here you will find practical guidance on all areas of employment law from recruitment to dismissal and everything in between. You can also access a wide range of useful documents to help you in the day-to-day management of staff matters.

If you are in any doubt as to what you should do, please call the HELP!line on 01904 616132 where our specialist employment lawyers will be pleased to discuss your particular circumstances and advise accordingly. By subscribing to the HELP! service, you have unlimited access to the HELP!line, so don’t hesitate to call.

The document templates which are included in the employer’s guide provide a step-by-step system which will give you an all important paper-trail detailing your actions and decisions in relation to your employees. You can find the documents either in the comprehensive list or in the relevant chapter.

To use a document, simply click on it and it will open in Word.  You can then fill in the necessary details and save it on your computer system. If in doubt, call the HELP!line and we will talk you through it.

In addition to saving the documents to your computer system, you should also keep legible, dated copies of letters and documents on the individual’s personnel file in case they are needed for future reference. These will stand you in good stead in the event of a claim being made against your business.

We hope that you will find this employer’s guide useful – please let us know if you have any difficulty navigating the site or accessing the documents.

Please note that this feature is intended to supplement the advice you receive from Hethertons – it is not meant to be a substitute for legal advice.  You should contact us before taking any action based on the content of this website. Remember, if you have the benefit of the Employment Practices Liability insurance cover, you will not be covered in the event of a claim by an employee unless you took advice on the problem from Hethertons first.
